We have a deep respect and love for film and the moving image, and it shows in our work.  This sensibility demands a filmic approach to our work style, and that we be very selective about the equipment with which we work.  To this end we employ cinema lenses of breathtaking clarity and feel, coupled with digital camera systems that provides the resolution, dynamic range, and character of film.

Stivan Widick

Owner, Cinematographer, Mixed Reality Experience Creator

Since founding Reference Frame motion picture services 10 years ago in New York City, Stivan has worked on award-winning short films, commercials, music videos, features, television pilots, live events, and fashion films, released variously to theatrical, broadcast, and streaming platforms. He currently lives and works between Louisville and New York, and is attached to projects to be shot in Malta, Romania, Thailand, and Senegal.

 

Stivan is the director of photography and co-creator of The Cradle: Senegal, a six-episode documentary series committed to telling the story of Senegal and the continent of Africa, and her far-reaching impact on the rest of the world.
